Bow Valley Calligraphy Guild

The Bow Valley Calligraphy Guild (BVCG) is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, Alberta, dedicated to promoting and celebrating calligraphy and paper arts. Founded in 1981, the Guild brings together a vibrant community of beginners, hobbyists, and professional lettering artists who share a passion for beautiful writing and creative expression. Through in-person and online workshops, meetings, and study groups, BVCG provides education, inspiration, and connection for their 200 members across Canada and beyond. Members near and far receive a Journal three times a year; local members have access to an extensive library, and exhibition opportunities. In 2026 the Guild proudly celebrates its 45th anniversary, marking more than four decades of fostering excellence in the lettering arts.

The St. Louis Calligraphy Guild is currently exhibiting at the Schlafly Branch of the St. Louis Public Library. Guild members will also be writing bookmarks for participants at the St. Louis Pen Show at Westport Plaza, June 26–28, where Cheryl Tefft will be teaching Decorated Letter, Italic, and Casual Calligraphy in person.

Founded in 1988, the Guild now has 60+ members from across Texas. Annual membership is $25 USD.
